"Seriously, a person's personality changes a lot in High School, I remember hanging out with some people in elementary, and they were really nice, but not anymore. Everytime I see them, it's really awkward. It's in High School where people discover who they are, and they can get influenced by other people or may just want to try and fit in and their personality changes, it's like they want to start a new life. In a few years they start comming back to old memories and friends and find that what they grew up around with has changed and doesnt care about them. Some might still care about them but the bond that was there years ago was gone and it's like a fresh new person who looks familiar, and you remember memories of them but they have changed. Usually they don't even want to talk to old friends until its too late and they are avoided by the friends they have grown up around. Sometimes when people you grow up around of and socialize with stop talking to you and come back later. You might have expelled the personality you have aquired from them and filled it with new friends. High school is a time of when teenagers become more open, and try new things. Don't try backing out of new things or talking to friends because you can start lacking social skills and you start getting less outgoing and you have a hard time building a collection of friends. High school is a time of when guys become men and girls become women. In that process, there is a lot of hormone changes happening. Another thing is when guys and girls become more developed, they take interest in the opposite gender. People start getting feelings at different times than their friends and they might leave their group to start flirting or they notice the changes in their body and they try to match themselves with a group. People might also leave their friends behind when they go to a new school because there is more people. Even if they're a close bond with friends, they will still leave for people they dont really like THAT much. Teenagers like to experiment, and they dont want to be a "nobody" because high school is the best years of a person's life and they want all the fame they can get. They also want to experiment because as they are developing, they start to look at themselves more and point out everything that is wrong with them, even mentally with the music they listen to. Music can have a big influence on a person's life, some people even set goals or mental notes on what they hear, even when they hear no lyrics, They respond to the beat. If they like a band a lot they might start mimicking on what the band wears or hair styles. Actors do affect them, they might want to shape their personality around them. Teenagers can start leading dramatic life styles if they aren't accepted or aren't getting enough attention. Gangs, cults; (drugs, booze), just want to try and stand out. I think everyone knows someone who takes on a dramatic life style. During these dramatic life styles people might get in trouble and their peers or family starts reacting to their changes, and they react back and start getting more rebellious. Teenagers are pretty sensitive to what happens around them, death of a family member, kicked out of a group, insults; they want to change; physical appearance and speaking. Some people are even oblivious to all this and have a calm attitude, but there aren't many people who are. Some will ignore you at school or any public place but will talk to you on facebook or text you. I dont think this is because they hate you or ignore you, Its because they are scared of what their friends might say about it." Aaron Garfield
Wouldn't that make a great speech? Good job Aaron, I agree with everything he said. It could have been longer, but I was tired, and I wanted to sleep. So I kinda just interrupted him, lol. And it was longer, I had to edit some stuff out.
I agree everyone just wants to be popularity. Popularity, power, and attention can change people and can lead to betrayal and a loss of friends. They can change people negatively or positively but usually negatively.
In my opinion, a person's personality does change in high school. The only thing I don't agree with Aaron is the whole music thing. I think actors and musicians affect people but they do not have a BIG influence in someone's life. Well, sorry for such a short reply by me, lol, well anyways, BYE!!!!!!!!
