My school day was pretty good so far, my first class was gym. I wasn't late for once. lol For gym, we did some fitness testing; we had to do speed sit-ups. I did 51 and my partner got 39 (situps). After, we had free time in the gym. The only thing interesting was basketballs, but I don't really like playing basketball; so I just stood around and was being bored. We then recorded our fitness marks. I got 12/14. :P :( After gym was break. After break, was my favourite class, English. We got a quiz on Parts of Speech; I think I did really good on it. It was really easy for me. We then worked on our "Writers Workshop" , which we had to write 6 paragraphs. My favourite paragraph is my persuasive paragraph:
I think summer is the best out of the four temperate seasons. I really enjoy summer; I dislike the other three seasons. The first reason why I think summer is the best season is because children do not have to go to school. They can spend time with family, and they can relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and do many fun activities. Secondly, summer is great because of the heat. You can get a tan, and a nice, hot day can brighten up your mood. Summer is also appealing because the flowers bloom. Winter is too cold, which makes you feel miserable, and during spring, it rains too much, which makes you feel depressed. During autumn, it gets really windy. Lastly, summer is marvelous because you get to do many activities. You can go outdoors more than any other season because it isn't cold. You can barbeque, have a picnic, have a water fight, and many other entertaining things. It's also a great time to go on vacations. To conclude, I believe summer is the best season because there is no school for children, the weather is gorgeous, and there are many interesting and fun activities to do.
I also haven't yet told you how I got lost in Mount Robson, so I did my narrative paragraph...just for this blog :)
Here it goes:
It was a gorgeous day and I was walking to the flats by myself. My friends were ahead of me, and the other group was behind me. I couldn’t even see anyone. I came to a green bridge, but it did not look familiar. I continued walking, and I came to a split. There was a main route, and a horse trail. Obviously, I took the main trail and continued walking for about twenty five minutes. All of a sudden, I thought I heard an animal, and I stopped. I was panicking, so I decided to walk back, and meet with the group behind me. I walked for about 15 minutes, and I knew something was wrong. I must have taken the wrong trail! I realized that maybe we had to cross the flats somewhere and go to the many trails possible. I am nearsighted, and when I thought I saw a woman in a blue jacket, I decided to just take a left down the steep hill. I was surprised that none of the trees injured me. When I came down, I saw no one near. I crossed the river with my shoes, and my pants and my shoes were soaking wet. All of a sudden, I saw someone in an orange jacket. I quickly ran to it with my heavy pack but it was just an orange ribbon tied to a piece of wood. I ran across the flats, and I kept running until I reached a random trail. I decided it was not safe, so I turned back and continued walking to the flats. Suddenly, I remembered my whistle. I kept blowing my whistle, while yelling, “Help!” as loud as I could. There was nobody near me for around twenty minutes, which
seemed like hours. I decided to head back to Whitehorn, the place where we camped, and I walked for a long time, and then I saw two nice male strangers who kindly helped me go to the correct trail. It turned out that I was going to the correct trail the whole time, and if I continued walking, I would have ended up the same place as everyone. I was supposed to take a horse trail though and not the main trail. When the stranger led me to the right trail, I saw Mr. Borden, my teacher, waving at me. I thanked the stranger, and walked towards Mr. Borden. I told him how I got lost, and then he told me that everyone knew I was lost. I had no idea how to face them; I knew they would ask a lot of questions, but I continued walking more than an hour and then I saw my classmates. They were all in the bus, waiting for me. I tried not to look at any of them, and I knew that they would be talking about it for a long time!
And that was how I got lost. :(
haha, Anyways, I finished my paragraphs quite early, so I asked my English teacher if I could have free time, but she said no. :( So I just sat on the computer chairs and talked to people. lol. After English, I had lunch. For lunch, I had to go to gym and test my tennis, because she didn't test me. :(
I finish eating my lunch...and...just walked around.
After lunch I had Math, and we did mostly review, and learned more about percents ;discounts.
now I'm in Info Tech, and everyone is typing :) This post was done in less than 20 minutes! :D
Anyways, bye!
