Yesterday, at the Music Vdeo - Concerto

I sat down at the benches. I waited patiently for about 40 minutes for the other people to finish playing. Next was my turn. I heard my heart pound, my chest tightened. The lady called my name. "Edmond" I stood up, and my teacher, and I walked to the piano. I said "Hi, My name is Edmond Lo and I will be playing Concerto in A Minor Second and Third Movements by Williams. I took a deep breath and sighed. I sat down at the piano bench. I stared at the blue curtains, and the marble white walls. I started playing, messing up slightly! I was so mad at myself. I wondered if people heard my mistake? "I'm dead, I'm not going to get a medal!" I thought. I panicked. After I finished playing, I sat down. Then 10 minutes later, when everyone was finished, all the players got sent to the front row. The adjudicator would talk about our songs, our weaknesses and good stuff. He basically said I did pretty good, and surprisingly I got a medal! I also did one today, and I also got a medal! I'm so happy! :) Tomorrow I have to play my Sonatina. Here's a picture of me and my two medals I got yesterday and today: I suck at taking pictures :(! I hope I do good at the Music Festival tomorrow! Concerto is 30 minutes!

I am very nervous for this because basically the reason I practise is because of this. If you do good you get a medal! The picture above is me in a suit, ready to play piano!

Today, and my iPod Touch

My day was alright - 6.5/10 , that's what I would give my day! First, I had English, the best class out of all my classes. It was fun talking to Devin and Teagan, but I didn't do any of my work, mainly because Devin distracted me, and I got distracted because I didn't feel like doing any work at English, LOL! Tomorrow at English, I'm going to try to actually get some work done... hopefully...!

Next, I had gym. Gym wasn't bad, and I didn't faint after running, although I could feel my heart beating and I bet everyone heard me panting so much... I played singles for badminton, and I won Caleb Poirier, and I also won Pippin, surprisingly! I thought I was going to lose, it was a very close game! Brandon and I were partners for doubles (badminton) and we played against Darcy and Illyia, and we won, then we played against Teagan and Liam, and we won again, and then we played against Dillion and Shaniah, although we haven't finished, I predict Brandon and I will win. :) ! Next, I had Metalworks - I spent the whole time cutting metal with a hacksaw. I suck at it. I'm terrible! And last, I had math. For the math test, I got 100% I'm so happy. My overall mark so far for math is 99.1% :( That's terrible. Haha I was expecting at least 99.5% ! Oh well.

Now I'm going to talk about the Ipod Touch! Its so awesome, its like a computer at the your palm of your hand! You can have a movie and photo library containing like hundreds of pics, and like a few movies! You don't have to argue about the computer, just go to the computer and go on Facebook or something. Haha, of course, the internet connection isn't that great, but what do you expect? The music quality is awesome, the apps are great, fun, and cool! What more do you expect? Anyways, I G2G BYE!

My Most Hated Movie - Twilight

I really dislike Twilight. I hope nobody hates me for saying this, but this is just my opinion, so please respect my opinion, and I will respect yours. I don't care if your one of those girls who are in love with Twilight, and Edward Cullen, Jacob, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner...or something like that. Taylor Lautner... hmm... that's a hard name to pronounce!

Anyways, the movie...Bella is sssooooooo annoying. I don't really like Kristen Stewart AT ALL. She seems very boring, she has good acting, but not in this movie...and Bella, in the movie, every time she walks out, um... people attack her. Can she just walk peacefully just once? And then ... of course Edwards going to save her from bad people attacking her. And why does Edward glow in the sun...or sparkle or whatever? I thought vampires like die and evaporate when they get exposed to sun? Hm... and vampires are suppose to suck blood, right, since when do they EAT people? And I wouldn't want to friends with Edward if I knew he eats people. And there was this line in the movies where like Edward says," Hold on tight spidey monkey" That made me LOL! Oh, another point, Edward is sooo creepy, he watched Bella sleep. Hmmm... Is stalking someone romantic? The thing about this movie's cast is that there are so many fans and its just getting annoying! I never knew vampires can run so fast, and be so strong, I thought they were normal, just they have to suck blood and stuff, but super speed and super strength? Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong. The only good part of Twilight is the action sequences, and there weren't that many. The action sequences were awesome, mainly because the stunt coordinator was Andy Cheng, who is one my Top 20 stunt and action choreographers. Well, I guess I have to say some more positive things, and argue (with myself) so nobody will get that mad. When I was criticizing about how incorrect the vampires in Twilight were, you can say that the author of the book, has a very good creativity and imagination, because she recreated a new image of Twilight. You can argue with that point. More points why Twilight - Movie sucks is because the conversations between Edward and Bella were sooooo awkward! Those conversations made me almost unable to watch this film. The book is way better than the film, but I guess that's the way most book-to-film are. One of my friends also told me the vampires actually EAT something in the cafeteria scene, not sure though... This is a short post, but that is all I have to say.

The Music Festival, and today.

I am very stressed out for the Music Festival. Basically I have to play (grade 9) piano in front of the judges and like everyone, the audience, and some people I know. If you do good, you get a medal. If you suck, you don't get a medal. But either way, its good because you learn something new, some experience, and a few techniques and lessons to improve. I have to wear a suit with a tie, and performance pants, and performance shoes. I am really stressed. I'll tell you more about it when I actually preform...which is at Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday! Anyways, the piece I'm playing on Wednesday is like 10 pages, the piece on Thursday is like 5 pages, and the piece on Friday is also 5 pages. Today was an okay day. I had English first, nothing special, there was a couple of humorous moments, but generally, English wasn't what I thought it would be like today. Maybe it's because English is first block, and I'm so tired. IDK? I wasn't late today, surprisingly!

We mostly just did Chapter 7 questions for English, and I talked for a little bit. Next was French. French was okay, but it was a little bit boring, but overall today's French was better than today's English for some reason! The best part of school today is got to be Manraj at French, dissing and singing hilarious songs. I say Manraj's performance today is funnier than Devin's dance. Yes, surprisingly, but I think Teagan would disagree. (Well, probably because she didn't listen Manraj's song, and I think she really likes Devin's dancing.) In my opinion, Devin's dancing gets a little bit annoying and little bit boring after you watch him dance everyday for like 2 classes in like 6 years. (Grade 2 - to Grade 8) I think I'm used to Devin's dancing! HAHA! Anyways, after French and lunch was Metal-Works. It's our last day of theory!...I think... LOL. I don't really like theory, in my opinion, but I guess its useful. Next was Math. We didn't get back our test scores :( Oh well. Anyways, Math was okay, pretty easy. We're doing the basics of fractions right now list reducing it to lowest terms and comparing them, etc. After waiting for a long time, I got home...and ate, and now I'm writing this. So BYE!!!!!

The Story of My Most Serious Injury:

One Saturday, May 2008, I did the most stupidest thing ever. But I have to tell you two stories that happened before Saturday, May 2008.

First Story: Okay, when like 5 months ago (January 2008) , I was still in Elementary School, right? Well, you know the "Glider" at the playground? The one that you hold on, swing, and it glides you to the other side? Well the thing I hold on to, it broke, and fell right in the middle of my head. I panicked. But, no blood or anything.

Second Story: - A month before May, Saturday, 2008: I was helping unpack stuff (we just moved) and actually it was really fun because there was so many cardboard boxes filled with so many stuff, it was kinda like stairs. We could climb and jump to other boxes. We had over 20 boxes, and the whole room was filled with filled cardboard boxes. I could climb to really high , and then jump a few meters ahead, down the another filled cardboard boxes. It was really fun. And right next to the highest stack of cardboard boxes was a mattress. I would jump off back first, (the stack of cardboard boxes was like 15 feet high) and land on my back down to the mattress, 14 feet below it. Anyways, as I was jumping from high stack of cardboard boxes to low stack of cardboard boxes, I jumped, hit my head at the ceiling. REALLY HARD. I was almost unconscious. But there was no blood or anything.

Main Story: Anyways, back to Saturday, May 2008, (just keep in mind what I just told you above) I was going down the stairs. My feet felt the polished finished wood with the metal edges. There was only about 6 more steps to go, and then I decided to jump off. It wasn't high, so you wouldn't break your feet or anything. But what I didn't notice was the ceiling. The ceiling goes down like a zigzag as the stairs go down. I stood on the sixth last step, feet both on the step, ready to jump. I jumped, my head hit the edge of the zigzag ceiling, I felt my eyes roll back for a second. I landed back first on the wooden stairs with metal bumpy edges and kept bouncing down, down, down, until I landed head first on the hard, white ground. Blood was on the stairs and on the zigzag ceiling, and also on the ground spilling from the middle of my head. My dad got REALLY mad, and he got a damp cloth and put it over my head. My head already got hit some many times, (fine maybe like twice, and this is my third time) (when I was unpacking stuff and glider) and now AGAIN. Anyways, the ambulance was too slow, so my parents drove me to the hospital. We waited over 1 hour, and then the nurse helped me stop the blood coming out or whatever, then I waited for 4 more hours for the doctor to come. No stitches or anything. He said it was fine...? Hm... well, because after 4 hours, obviously the blood stopped!

Anyways, that was the story of my most serious injury, hope it wasn't THAT boring.

The Medallion, Chinese New Year 15 Day Celebration, and Facebook:

Hi! The post is doing to be a little bit different. Basically I'm going to talk about The Medallion, Chinese New Year 15 Day Celebration, and Facebook:

The Medallion: The Medallion is a 2003 film directed by Gordan Chan, starring Jackie Chan, Lee Evans, and Claire Forlani.

This movie is alright in my opinion, but nothing compared to Jackie's earlier work. Here is the Official Movie Trailer for this movie:

The trailer is great, the movie... not so good. The action scenes are the best of the movie, mainly because the Action Choreographer is Sammo Hung.

Sammo Hung and Jackie Chan are my two favourite Action Choreographers!

This fast- paced comedy-action film is waaaayy too short! It was 90 minutes. It didn't really have a plot. I was talking to Teagan basically the whole time I was watching it! :) This movie has obvious CGI, green screens, and wires. It kinda suits it because this is a FANTASY! The whole movie speaks English, in case you were wondering. If I did a Top 10 WORST jackie chan movies , this would be on it, but I LOVE all Jackie Chan movies, so yeah. Basically It's not as bad as everyone says it is, Sometimes its fun and okay, but sometimes its an embarrassment in other spots. Jackie Chan has done better films, in my opinion. I think The Tuxedo is funnier, but The Medallion is better. The Tuxedo is another not-so-good Jackie Chan 2002 film.

Now I'm going to talk about the 15 day celebration:

At the first day, like New Years Day, nobody eats meat so they can have a long and happy life!

At the second day, everyone prays and its dog's birthday! So everyone is nice to dogs.

The third and fourth days, sons in laws respect mother in laws.

At the fifth day, no one visits families because it brings both groups bad luck if they do.

Sixth day, they visit everyone and pray more.

The seventh day, which is today: ITS EVERYBODY'S BIRTHDAY! So we all eat together! :)

Eighth day, family reunion - eat together and stuff.

Ninth day is to make offerings to the Jade Emperor

10, 11, and 12 day you just each good stuff, invite relatives and stuff. After so much good food, (This is dessert, rice balls or something like that) at the thirteen day, you clean the system by eating simple foods like Rice Congee and veggies. Theres so many different kinds of congee! Chicken, Salmon, Plain, etc!

14th day is to prepare for Lantern Festival, which happens at the 15th day!

Now I'm going to talk about Facebook!

Facebook is a social network site where you can update status, Facebook chat, Applications, etc.

Many people say its a popularity contest - Oooh i have 328 friends... I have 478 friends, i only have 180 friends... :( I HAVE 1126 FRIENDS! see, you get the example!

Actually I only have 170 friends on facebook :(

Facebook is very addicting. It's like a drug, it cures boredom, but the side effect is... Addictiveness!

Basically for when I go on Facebook, I check out my News Feed, and then I talk to ppl on Facebook Chat:

I talk to Ashley, Dan, Teagan, Dalan, Caleb, and many more. But those are the main ones.

World Record - The world record for talking online, I found out, is 104 hours and 12 minutes somewhere in Australia! I guess Teagan and I didn't break the world record :(

But still, eight hours is a long time! :) :D

So anyways, that all I'm going to write on this post, maybe Tomorrow, I will write about Today, and maybe I will write something later on the day!

Let's see. I woke at 7:07 and got WAY TOO TIRED so I fell back asleep. Ha! Ha! I opened my eyes again with sound of a song. (My alarm- I get to pick any song.)

So, I looked at the clock... 7:57! Uh Oh~! I heard my mom calling out "Edmond! Edmond! Get Up!" Uh Oh. I got up, and did the usual thing, and surprisingly, for once, I WASN'T LATE! :) Hooray! Anyways, I had French first... We all had to get a picture about our mask... And then We watched TELEFRANCAIS! I don't mind it, and I don't love it. Each episode is like 9 minutes.

And then, every episode, theres two songs, one of the TeleFrancais theme songs, which goes like:

There's some animals too!

Aerozoan – A squid like animal with a Hydrium Sac, and able to produce huge amounts of electricity. This animal is where Grunnel got his idea for the Prometheus Engine.

Araneus Volatilis – A spider-like creature with wings. It is very light and flies to high altitudes.

I recommend this book to everyone!

CToday I had gym first block... I was late, as usual. LOL! After setting up the nets and stuff, We had to run 8 ...laps... Not bad...sometimes we have to do like 25. But anyways, after I ran, I felt ... tired...but normal... I started to walk around and stuff. Still feeling pretty normal. Then All of group 1's people get to drink some water...including me... So i walked to the water fountain with a group of classmates. I lined up. And then it happened. My feet wobbled. The room was spinning. I tried to concentrate, and my eyes hurt. Then i felt a lot of heat on my body. I started sweating... My eyes were fixed onto the ground and the ground was moving. I still needed a long way... the line up for water is still long... I barely concentrated as Teagan finished drinking water. Still a long line...

I felt my ears turn red, as if they were on fire. I was deaf. I couldn't hear a single thing except my heart beat. I know I have VERY LOW BLOOD PRESSURE! I felt like I had to barf...except the feeling was not like barfing food, it was like barfing my heart. I knew this was the exactly the same as fainting, because i had fainted before, and this was exactly how it felt like. But I thought : ,"Edmond! You cannot faint! This is high school, people are going to laugh at you! "

So I didn't faint. I tried to barf (my heart, LOL) again, but I felt like all the blood in my body stopped for a second, my heart felt like it was pinched, My mouth and nose had a funny feeling...my head started a headache...and then I drank water from the water fountain! I was a little bit better, still the feeling to faint. NO ONE NOTICED! I'm so glad! I walked back to the gym, still feeling unwell, and Erin Young challenged me for Badminton - I won her 11-3.

Then Arshdeep challenged me... i won her 11-10! I barely won.

English - I wanted to sit up front but...I ended sitting at the back...

Math - 90% on the quiz Not so happy :(

Those movies are nothing compared to his old Hong Kong Movies... I'm not saying those ones above are bad, they're funny and entertaining, but his hK films are better!

What happened today, and olympics

Hmmm... Nothing much happened today.

Well, I woke up, ate breakfast etc,etc,etc!

And I was late again! :( I had French as first block. Sigh. Why am I always late?

:( French was kinda boring - We watched Toy Story in french!

Its an ok movie. Let's see... its an animated film about Toys coming to life when their owner is sleeping or not in the room. Woody is the "leader" of the group. The owners birthday is arriving and they are nervous that a new toy might get more of the attention. Woody is not nervous; Woody is Andy's favorite toy, but it is replaced by the new toy... Buzz Lightyear. Woody gets jealous, but learns to appreciate him.

I'll give it 7/10

English - I learned about Course Selections. I really want to take Drama, Filming, and French 9.

Alternatives - I like Business Tech, computer stuff, idk... We also did surveys like ... Most trusted to preform Brain Surgery, best eyes, best smile, etc.

Math- We basically talked about different choices you can get when you graduate from high school. I want (my goal is) to go to UNIVERSITY i want to go to UBC...but I'm have seismophobia... FEAR OF EARTHQUAKES! and vancouver has a lot of earthquakes so...

I am not a creative person- I can't write for a very long time! Teagan can write so much in her blog!
